What EI 60 means
The label reads as a measured performance: E is integrity — the door keeps flames and hot gases from passing through; I is insulation — it limits the heat reaching the protected side; and the number is the minutes it holds both in a standard furnace test. EI 60 means 60 minutes.
Where EI 60 is used
Corridors, stairwells and many entrance doors where 60 minutes is required. The required class for each opening is defined by the building's fire-safety design under the technical regulation approved by Government of Georgia Decree No. 41 — we match the door to the class on your schedule, we do not assign it.
